Develop a plan of action

Once you have done a task analysis, you can use the collected information to develop a plan for your site that will better enable you meet the needs and expectations of your target audience.

As you begin to plan, you should consider the following:

• Scope - What are you developing? What content will you include? How much information will be provided?
• Audiences - Who are the primary individuals you want the site to serve?
• Objectives - What are your goals for this site?

In addition, it is also important that you come up with a list of website requirements regarding the features and functions of your site. Such requirements should be based on the results of your task analysis. Some examples include:

• A search module
• A means to purchase products
• Information regarding research experience
• Links to other resources
