These are a few Gestalt principles (or laws) that are helpful when you want to convey the structure of information and make your site easier to navigate, as well as if you want to emphasize a certain point and add visual interest to your pages.

• Proximity - Objects that appear near each other are perceived as a group.
• Similarity - Objects that look similar to each other are perceived as a group.
• Closure - When objects are not completely defined, the eye will fill them in so you perceive them as whole objects.
• Continuation - The eye is led from one object to another, creating a sort of movement.
